With more than two decades of expertise in technology and aged care, we proudly serve a wide range of Aged Care Providers and NDIS Plan Managers such as OzCare, Blue Care, Anglicare, and more. We’re here to make technology simple and accessible for everyone.

Who we are

Claire's mission is to bridge the digital divide!

I’ve spent over 20 years working in the corporate tech world with Google, Amazon, Electronic Arts and others and although I thoroughly enjoyed the challenges these companies offered, they didn’t afford me the time to actively “assist others with technology”. In 2019, I registered Basic Tech and started delivering free Tech Classes to elderly Australians in my community. Unfortunately the COVID-19 pandemic hit and our classes were temporarily suspended.

In the midst of lockdown, I knew I had to do more. I saw my own family and friends struggling with technology. Video calls became the new standard for staying in touch with the outside world and if you didn’t know the basics of how to navigate a smartphone, tablet or computer, you were left feeling particularly isolated. I felt it was important that I start helping the most vulnerable in our society. I reached out to Aged Care Providers, Retirement Communities and on social media platforms to learn how I could make a difference.

My determination to bridge the digital divide has allowed me to deliver over 500 free tech classes over the past three years! I have been blessed with a team who are as passionate and patient as me. Our contracts with Aged Care, NDIS Providers and Retirement Communities, allow us to deliver one on one personalised tech consultations to clients from the comfort of their own home.

We love using technology to help and care for people, especially the vulnerable in our society who shouldn’t be left behind in this fast-paced digital age! Our friendly and patient staff provide one-on-one support tailored to each person’s needs. After each visit, we take the time to share helpful notes with the client, their case manager, and family members at no extra cost.
